History
Opened in the spring of 2006, the Galactic Boutique: Store and Gallery is the love-child of artist, designer and overly - creative insomniac, Karl Fjellstrom. After getting a BA in Fine Arts, he started designing graphics for t-shirts and pillows and applying the technology learned in his 7th grade crafts class to make synthetic botanicals (thanks Mrs. Turner). After that it was if the flood gates had opened. Then Fjellstrom got this wild idea to open a retail boutique in which he could fully explore his overly - active , creative potential while featuring work by local and international independent artists and designers as well as award winning design teams from around the universe.
Something Happening
There is always something happening at the Galactic Boutique. We have rotating art shows in the Gallery each month and host a slu of sexy parties with live DJ’s and flowing alcohol. One Planet: One Community
There are a number of ways we strive to help our community and our planet. We frequently host fundraisers, art classes, design seminars, and how-to classes. As a part of the community, we try to make the most of our resources. We also have a strict recycle program in effect and also feature items that are made from recycled or renewable materials. With our rotating Gallery, we give emerging artist an outlet to show their work and help express their voice to the community. We believe in the FUTURE… and the only way to get there is together.
